Parallel Breaks Ground on 750-Bed Development Near Texas A&M University

College Station, Texas — Parallel has broken ground on a 750-bed student housing development located at 401 First St. near the Texas A&M University campus in College Station.

The community will offer a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units including walk-up townhomes. Shared amenities are set to include a full-service smart market, influencer room, gaming lounge, dog park, swimming pool, spa, yoga room, fitness center, indoor study areas and outdoor gaming, dining and study space. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2024.

The development team for the community includes BOKA Partners, Rogers O Brien Construction, Alison Royal Interiors, RLG Engineers, Mitchell and Morgan Civil Engineering, V3 Engineers, Infinisys and SMR Landscape.

“Parallel is excited to break ground on its second project in Northgate near the A&M campus,” says Kristen Penrod, principal at Parallel. “This project will provide a mix of units focused on living and learning near a campus that is projecting continued enrollment growth.”
