Davie, Fla. — A public-private partnership between RISE: A Real Estate Company and Nova Southeastern University has completed Mako Hall, a 310,000-square-foot mixed-use community located on the university’s campus in Davie. The 608-bed community offers one-, two- and four-bedroom, apartment-style units with kitchens and in-unit laundry facilities. Shared amenities include lounges and study rooms on each floor; a 1,500-square-foot multi-purpose room with an adjacent kitchen; an electronic package delivery system; outdoor space featuring hammocks, table tennis and grilling areas; and a courtyard. The community also features an on-site innovation center, which is home to Razors Edge Shark Cage, a program for students interested in gaining the necessary knowledge and skills to launch a business and develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Juneau Construction Company was the project’s general contractor and Niles Bolton Associates served as architect.
