Tailwind Group Acquires 628-Bed Student Housing Property Near Texas A&M University

College Station, Texas — Tailwind Group has acquired Campus Crossings on Marion Pugh, a 628-bed student housing property located near Texas A&M University in College Station. Brandon Buell of Berkadia brokered the acquisition of the property from Campus Apartments. The community is composed of 30 residential buildings offering a mix of one- and two-bedroom units. Shared amenities include a clubhouse; dog park; sun deck; fire pits and barbecue grills; sand volleyball, tennis and basketball courts; 24-hour fitness and business centers; two swimming pools; and a heated jacuzzi. The new ownership has plans to rebrand the property and invest in significant capital improvements. “Texas A&M is a market that every student housing owner and operator hopes to be in,” says Brandon Smith, vice president of operations and development for Tailwind. “With nearly 70,000 students and growing, it’s truly one of the premiere college markets in the country.
