Austin, Texas — Villas Student Housing has broken ground on a 30-story student housing development near the University of Texas at Austin campus. The community will span 340,000 square feet at the intersection of 24th and Rio Grande streets in Austin’s West Campus neighborhood. The project was designed by Rhode Partners and features a top-floor amenity deck with an indoor/outdoor fitness center, resort-style swimming pool, spa and a basketball ‘sky’ court. Additional amenities will include a hotel-style reception and lounge area, study spaces, a package room and below- and above-grade parking. The community is scheduled for completion in summer 2025. The project’s development team includes interior designer Ariel Bleich, contractor Rogers O’Brien, DCI Engineers, Bleyl Engineering, V3 Consulting Engineers, Terracon and landscape architect Blu Fish Collaborative.
