Lubbock, Texas — Technology provider Quext has acquired smart building technology platform Homebase for an undisclosed price. The combined company will create a single source for multifamily operators to receive smart technology and managed Wi-Fi solutions for residents. The two organizations will continue to independently grow their product offerings. Homebase CEO Blake Miller will join the Lubbock, Texas-based company has its new chief product officer.

London — The Dot Group has agreed to acquire student housing management firm CRM Students from CORESTATE Capital Group for an undisclosed price. CRM’s portfolio comprises 26,000 beds across 100 properties in seven countries. This acquisition expands London-based The Dot Group to four new European markets — Austria, Italy, Poland and Portugal — while also substantially expanding its footprint in the U.K.
